Treat Your Wig Like It's Growing From Your Scalp
At Wigs By Biological, we recommend treating your hair as if it's growing directly from your scalp. With the right care routine, your wig will stay beautiful, silky, and full of life for much longer.
Step 1: Co-Wash Before Installation
Always co-wash the hair before installation using a clarifying shampoo and conditioner. This removes any product buildup and restores moisture to the hair fibers, giving you a fresh, clean start.
Step 2: Brush Gently From Ends to Roots
Always brush your wig from the ends to the roots — never the other way around. This prevents unnecessary shedding and keeps the hair smooth and tangle-free.
Step 3: Protect at Night
Use a satin head scarf or satin pillowcase at night to protect your wig while you sleep. Satin reduces friction, prevents frizz, and keeps your style looking fresh for longer.
Step 4: Keep It Moisturized
This hair loves moisture! Use a lightweight serum to keep the hair hydrated and shiny. Apply a small amount to the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the roots.
Step 5: Minimize Heat
Avoid everyday usage of heat styling tools. When you do use heat, always apply a heat protectant first and use the lowest effective temperature setting.
